For sale: mint condition Shelter 501 Mk3 MC cartridge which I purchased about a month ago from an authorized Shelter dealer. The cartridge had been used for 5-6 hours as part of a cartridge comparison conducted for a customer, and since it had technically been "used" it could not be sold as new. I have not used the cartridge at all -- infact, it is still packed in its original box. According to several dealers and knowledgeable audiophiles that I talked with, this cartridge was sold several years ago under the name "Crown Jewel", and it sold then for $2600. The 501 Mk3 has gotten excellent reviews, many of which can be found online.
