Serial #207 of only 400 numbered limited edition.
Production date: March 26, 2010.
This exceptional moving coil cartridge, very well cared for since first purchased new April 2010. Stylus first met the record grooves one full year after that, in April 2011, and had really been only in play for about one year more, when I acquired two other carts, switching between a VdH Colibri XCP-HO, and a Miyajima Mono Zero. It has been only used intermittently since that summer of 2012, and I'd estimate conservatively having somewhere between 150 to 175 hours of use. All records have been cleaned with VPI 16.5 Record Cleaning Machine. No liquid stylus cleaner has been used. Tracking has been set from 2.3 to 2.36 grams.

I just recently traded in my older Colibri for the newest Van den Hul Crimson XGW, and this has now become my reference stereo moving coil cartridge, and is the reason I am selling my Ortofon, good as it is.
If you pick up this cart as the second owner, you will be hearing what the finest and most expensive cartridges can do best at a much more reasonable cost.  It truly plays without compromise in that exalted league of cartridges selling for upwards of five grand and more.     I paid full price, and believe my asking price to be most fair for a cart of this quality and very slight overall use. Please view close up photographs. All original Ortofon accessories are included, of course.
The A90 gives an absolutely enticing view into the music! Great control, effortless transients, this cart has astounding inner detail and delicacy, full and natural, clear, open, very linear, and extending from foundation to highest overtones, with truly black backgrounds. The music you hear is not hyped, but honest.

A HiFi News review from 2009 comments on the character of the A90's sound being one of delicacy and refinement, rather than 'body' and 'dynamism'. I agree mostly, but feel this cart excels in getting the body and timbre of voices and instruments right, while capturing subtle micro-dynamic shadings in an outstanding manner.  Here is the review:      http://www.hifinews.co.uk/news/article/ortofon-mc-a90-pound;3000/9611
