For sale is one Dynavector 20X2L cartridge in near mint condition. I purchased it new from a Dynavector Dealer in August 2014 and have used it for less than 50 hours

The DV 20X-2 brings more openness to the midrange without grain or stress, tremendously greater treble extension and information and a little more control in the bass. It also stages deeper and images more precisely whilst delivering almost all the dynamic impact of the Denon. The 20X-2 is not a warm cartridge but I doubt anybody would describe it as cold or analytical as you'll read about some older Lyras now and then. Neither does it offer the rich density of the better MM options (maybe the high-output 20X-2 does) but it certainly delivers the best of MC resolution and tonal finesse with a huge helping of giddy up.

For me the Dynavector 20X-2 proved to be just the ticket though it does leave me with a strong itch to try the far pricier DV XX-2 and see just how good things can really get.

Dynavector already had an acclaimed winner in the entry-level 10X5 (no entry-level performance there!) and I can happily report that the 20X-2 is now part of that same exalted league, adding a lot of refinement, openness and resolution whilst remaining somewhat affordable. ...This, combined with a traditional two-gram down-force, makes the DV-20X2 a very easy cartridge to accommodate on modern turntables, or even older ones as long as they don't have a very low mass arm.

As the name suggests, the 20X2 is the second incarnation of the 20X, a cartridge whose lineage goes right back to the eighties.

The 20X2 distinguishes itself with a new body – in fact, the body from the £1,000 XX2 MkII. It's made in machined aluminium and provides a rigid mounting for the otherwise nude generator and magnets. The flanks provide protection for the delicate innards and make alignment considerably easier. This is the easiest Dynavector we've ever set up – hardly any kerfuffle at all.

The way that the various instruments and voices in a mix are presented in relation to one another is particularly good, as is the ability to cope with denser passages without the soundstage closing up.  This is a powerful, precise, revealing and open cartridge that warrants hi-res ancillaries, but will work a treat in any respectable turntable.
