I'd dreamed of owning this amp for many years & when I finally found it some time back, was thrilled to add it to my collection of classic stereos.

It had only one owner, &had been put away in storage for many years after he passed, & I was lucky enough to hear about it before it hit Craigslist or eBay.

Unfortunately, I've been unable to find a mate for it for far too long, & given the ever increasing prices, & rarity, not sure I ever will...

Thus, with great regret, I'm considering parting with it in order to support my other addiction... SENCORE test equipment... need to add more units to my test bench & this would help considerably...)

Unlike most amateur sellers of audio gear here online, I have been repairing audio gear professionally for 40 years... & have one of the best equipped audio labs anywhere... all SENCORE...

This is a VERY RARE amp, in that in all these years, it has NEVER BEEN REPAIRED... it has ALL its original parts... unlike most amps I've seen over the years that have been hacked & butchered numerous times by owners. amateur electronic "hobbyists", or incompetent &; sloppy so-called "techs".

I have inspected & tested, & burned it in thoroughly, & can assure you that it is in good working condition.

I've attached a collection of detailed photos showing it's physical condition as best possible, as well as its live testing on my my equipment.

COSMETIC CONDITION...

I would call it "better than average" compared to most that I've seen come in for repairs over the years that were a LOT worse... (but it's not "Pristine")

PRIMARY ISSUES...

It's chrome finish is still shiny, but there is some pitting on the top edge/bend of the front face just above the terminal strip & volume control (the worst of the whole unit). There is a much lesser level of tiny random pits along the top face scattered around the tube sockets. (I tried to photograph all its "flaws" as best I could.)

As with most of these, the black lettering has pretty much flaked, or been washed off... there's still a hint of it on the back panel... somewhat readable.

It's missing the black snap-on "Tube Grille"... (the owner may have left it off for the look of seeing the glowing tubes, & it somehow was misplaced from the amp, & if relatives found it, didn't know what it was for & tossed it...)

The black paint on the transformers is excellent... no flaking or rust... only a couple minor scratches on the top of the rear transformer... otherwise the sides are excellent, as is the front transformer.

The bottom plate is near-excellent... clean & shiny - no flaking or rust on the sides or bottom (inside paint is perfect), & only 2 minor scratches on the bottom. The rubber feet are clean & in very good condition - no drying or cracking.

The inside is clean & rust-free

Otherwise it's in good shape.

This unit came with ~60s/70s vintage era preamp tubes...

Tube #1 - 12AX7/ECC83 - Telefunken
White Logo - Nice & clean (80-90% intact)
Letter code is "av" - indicating 4/61 (via charts)
Diamond w/"10" in center on the base

TUBE #2 - ECC82/12AU7 - Telefunken
White Logo - Diamond is 3/4 intact but lettering is mostly wiped off
Letter code appears to be "av" also - indicating 4/61 (via charts)
Classic Diamond w/"15" in center on the base

TUBE #3 - 12BH7 - U.S.A. etched in glass
No logo or lettering... appears to have been wiped clean

TUBE #4 - 12AT7/ECC81 - Sylvania (#s & U.S.A. etched in glass
Thin Red (OEM/Distributor) Logo & Lettering in like new condition
Date code EC/EAM (Haven't found chart for this yet...)

TUBES #5/6 - 6550 - GE (General Electric)
(White Logo - DE Date Code (2/70)
