Waipunasound's Wave Reefs are a new product for treating room acoustics. Probably the most important of all, because before you can hear what your system is capable of, you have to receive the presentation, without reflected sound waves interfering.

Like a reef around an island, Wave Reefs are meant to breakup the waves that strike them, so they don't interact with the direct waves coming from the speakers, before they get to the island which is you.
Closest first reflection points are, behind the system, walls nearest the speakers, floor and ceiling.

Paia (wall) Reefs, are 23x23" square with baffles of natural or med-grey colored, thick cotton duck, covering a 2" deep, softwood frame, with a soft polyurethane foam core. Simple to hang anywhere, they are offered in two colors and two versions. Another listing features a same size reef that is only 1 3/8" deep with a convoluted core and half the density, for areas requiring more clearance, or areas requiring less diffusion.

Ceiling corners are whirlpools and must be dealt with. Our Pili Reefs on another listing, are designed to treat them. Take a look. They're affordable and not ugly!

Paia Reefs are sold in boxes of two, which is what this listing offers. It takes at least two to cover the nearest wall area, behind your system. Two long brads are included to easily hang anywhere, or any grouping. Look at the photos to see the colors and placement choices I've used in my home.
