Flawless.  Been used for about 1 year.  Amazing unit with Rega, Naim or any other large toroid amp that hums in your setup.  This is the first stage of protection for all Isotek devices.  This feeds directly into a unit or the Aquarius, Titan, Nova etc.

A pre filter for the AC
aka the
IsoTek
Evo3 Syncro
.
The mains supply we connect our precious audio gear to is far from perfect. It
is full of noise by way of RFI and EMI. Our review of the Blue Horizon
Noise Analyzer depicted the reality of this grim outlook in unexpected detail.

The
EVO3 is the most sophisticated power cable available, featuring IsoTek’s highly
regarded 2.5mm OFC conductor actively shielded power cable and incorporating
unique DC-cancelling electronics that rebalance the mains sine wave. Each cable
is terminated with high- quality 24ct gold audiophile grade connectors.

  • Rebalances mains sine wave on the zero volts
    line.

  • Uniquely removes harmful DC from the mains
    supply.

  • 16A rating allows use with all audio
    electronics.

  • Protects against harmful RFI and EMI.

  • Can be used with all power conditioning
    solutions, including IsoTek.

  • Available in UK, EU, US, AU versions with C7,
    C15, C19 and Neutrik terminations.

Syncro can be used on its own to power a single hi-fi
component, or as a ‘pre-filter’ device to power an IsoTek mains conditioner.  The Syncro takes the mains electricity supply
and realigns its waveform, prior to filtration of contaminants (RFI/EMI etc.)
by the conditioning unit, which then feeds each hi-fi component.

As
we fill our homes with an ever-increasing number of electrical devices, we
further degrade the mains supply, interfering with its quality and consistency.
Audio equipment uses electricity to generate signals, amplified by more
electricity to drive a pair of loudspeakers; the quality of the electricity
that feeds an audio system has a direct impact on the resulting quality of
sound.  I.E. computer and diming light
fixtures.

IsoTek’s improves the quality of the mains supply
significantly, filtering out contaminants like RFI and EMI, and ensuring each
component in the audio chain receives pure and consistent power in line with
its specific requirements. However, there is a further issue with the
electricity supply in our homes that has existed for years.  The problem in question is sometimes referred
to as ‘DC on the mains’. In terms of audio equipment, it is often signified by
a buzzing sound emitted by a transformer in a power amplifier. This buzz is
extremely distracting and the mechanical vibration within the power
transformer, created by core saturation, results in microphony in the internal
components, leading to further degradation of sound quality. It gets worse when
that mechanical vibration triggers microphonic tubes in the circuit. This can
happen not only to the piece of equipment with the resonant transformer.
Vibrations can also travel through the audio rack to another device and cause
havoc there. It’s one of the reasons all manner of footers and isolating
devices have an effect. Smaller toroidal transformers are less prone to the
detrimental effects of DC offset, however larger transformers of this type are
very sensitive and might suffer momentary saturation.

These
issues have nothing to do with the quality of the audio equipment used. In
fact, some of the best amps available are the most seriously affected. The
problem is a symptom of the poor state of mains electricity available in most
homes, affecting not only amplifiers but source components, too.

Having
personally used this unit for about a year, I have experienced the significant
improvements it brings to the whole listening experience.  Mechanical noise is gone, backgrounds are
blacker, bass is deeper and top end sizzle is gone.  And the overall tone and presentation remains
clear, bright and musical without any haze.
This unit significantly improved the Rega Osiris I used it with.  I'm just in a downsize and change phase so some
lucky person is going to get a chance to have this wonderful unit for a very
reasonable price.

Thanks
