JPS Labs Kaptovator Power Cord -- 2.0M -- 15 amp

On their current website, JPS Labs calls the Kaptovator "one of our finest long term reference AC cables", and "better at supplying power to low power components on up to the largest of amplifiers than any other cord made except for our own absolute finest Aluminata AC".
   
JPS Labs recently introduced the Kaptovator Lite power cord -- basically a lower-priced version of this Kaptovator -- at $1,199.00 retail.  Why pay more for the "Lite" version than for this original?

I am rating this cable 7 / 10 because it has some minor scratches on the plug and IEC ends (the white plastic parts in the pictures.)  These scratches can't be seen on the pictures, and, in my experience are normal wear and tear for power cords.
